THE DIGITAL DHIS2
ANNUAL CONFERENCE

21 - 25 September 2020

About The Event

What is the Digital DHIS2 Annual Conference?

Following the postponement of The Digital DHIS2 Annual Conference few months back and in light with the ongoing pandemic, we have decided, for the first time since its creation, to move our DHIS2 Annual Conference to a fully online, virtual experience. The Digital DHIS2 Annual Conference will be an opportunity for the Community to virtually meet and share experiences on DHIS2 implementations, and will bring together implementers, developers, ministry representatives, technical partners, and donors from around the world.

The programme spread over 5 days, from Monday to Friday with daily sessions starting at 1:00pm to 3:00pm GMT+2.

Let’s take a look back at last year’s key figures:

Participants will learn from exciting DHIS2 innovations through 5 days of use cases, thematic presentations, and live demo.

Through a mix of invited key speakers, community-driven presentations from the open call for abstracts, and social events, there will be ample opportunities to network with peers and experienced DHIS2 implementers.

Last year we launched the DHIS2 Apps Competition for community developers to promote their innovations. This event was a big success, and we are happy to bring it back in 2020.

Call for Abstracts

We are now accepting submissions of abstracts for the DHIS2 Annual Conference. The Annual Conference is a unique opportunity to share experiences and knowledge around DHIS2 implementation with a wide audience, and for the DHIS2 community to learn from the many, diverse uses, settings, themes and domains in which we work. We welcome all topics, and are specifically interested in user stories about projects that make an impact. Authors of selected abstracts will be asked to develop their abstract for our digital Use Case Bazaar, a presentation or live demo session!

Digital Web & Android App Competition

We are now welcoming submissions of DHIS2 Apps for the Digital DHIS2 Annual Conference Web & Android App Competition! Last year's Web App Competition was a big success, and this year we are also opening the competition to Android Apps. The goal this year is to showcase the innovative work developers around the world are doing with DHIS2 for both web and mobile devices, and to highlight how the DHIS2 App Platform and Android SDK makes it easier to develop custom apps using shared tools. Finalists will be invited to present their Apps during one of our virtual live sessions!
